Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language Course - Cohort 4

May I welcome the 12 new Japanese language teachers, who have graduated from this course recently. おめでとうございます。

They have been posted to 12 schools (7DS /5RS) to begin their 1-year internship whereby they will receive full supports from the senior teacher(s) and lecturers from IPGM-KBA and JFKL as well as from all the stakeholders, namely MOEM & JFKL.

The schools they are posted are in the following states
DAY SCHOOLS
Kedah (1) Perak (1) Selangor (2) Johor (1) Pahang (1) Sabah (1)
RESIDENTIAL SCHOOLS
Negeri Sembilan (1) Kelantan (2) Terengganu (1) Sarawak (1)

From this year onwards, they are required to team-teach with their seniors and report their progress regularly to MOEM.

May I wish them SELAMAT BERTUGAS.
コホット4のみなさん、頑張ってくださいね。

This training programme is a joint collaboration between MOEM and JFKL with IPGM-KBA as its implementor to train 5 cohorts of in-service teachers to teach Japanese. They first undergo a 3-month preparatory course in Japanese, before proceed to the 1-year Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language Course. Upon graduation, they will be reposted to schools to begin their 1-year 'internship'. In the following year, they will attend the Short-Term Training Program for Foreign Teachers of the Japanese-Language (Spring Course) at the Japan Foundation Japanese Language Institute in Urawa, Japan.
